Dr. Shastri Persad  MB BCh MRCSI MICGP

 

Originally from Trinidad & Tobago, Shastri moved to Ireland in 1998 to study medicine in Trinity College Dublin. After graduating in 2003 he worked in various surgical specialties as part of the West of Ireland Basic Surgical Training Scheme. He then moved to General Practice and completed the Western Training Programme in GP.

 

During his surgical training, Shastri obtained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and he holds the Certificate in Local Anaesthetic Vasectomy from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.

 

Shastri has a special interest in minor surgery and performs a wide range of procedures including excision of skin lesions, joint and tendon injections, vasectomy, Mirena coil insertion, Implanon NXT insertion, and cosmetic botulinum toxin Injection
